Thailand blog.

Yes, Thailand's food is very good. Have you ever thought about putting yourself in the people's shoes that live in the rougher parts of Thailand? Most times when you go you go to the richest part of Thailand? Bangkok has the most hotels and the most expensive ones. Think for a second of giving back to the ones that are sitting there with little food.

The education system in Thailand is an interesting thing. It's free for twelve years just like we are but most people can't or don't go to school. Strangely people in Thailand enroll late and they are allowed. Most people are home schooled and then are brought in later for second, school. The most common job in Thailand is a university teacher. I don't find that odd because many people in the richer spots of Thailand always go to university to become a teacher. Both boys and girls go to school. It is a very gender equality place and schooling is no different. In fact, women have the highest status in the community other than Singapore.

In Thailand you have to pay for the healthcare and since most people are struggling to pay to even eat. Most people have to make their own herbal remedies just to cure a common cold. The life expectancy in Thailand is 71.9 for male and 78.0 for female. The leading cause of death in Thailand is cancer, heart and stroke problems. I think it is that way because in Thailand they have a lot of greasy foods and since you have to pay for it, they can't get help if they have a stroke. Most women have the health care jobs in Thailand, they are mostly specialist. Whenever there is a major problem and a rich person is dying then they will come by helicopter. If you don't have enough money than they give you something that will get you through the day then leave you.

In Thailand, the working conditions can be rough and amazing at the same time. Most fishers have a rough and tough time fishing. In most places, there is child slavery, especially in the fishing business. The children are going to grow up and think that's right to do and more and more people will get forced to work. That hopefully will get out of the norm and then die out completely. The children have to work for their families because they can't support their family and friends. Most of them unfortunately make bad clothes or blankets and they don't have to get paid for it or paid very little. The unemployment rate in Thailand is 0.6%.
If this is to continue or the king of Thailand dies then there will eventually there will be anarchy. They will be fighting for food and water always. The children that are working won't have food or water to work and then their economy will get worse and worse. Eventually, they will try to immigrate to Canada or USA and then Thailand will be underpopulated. If they try to fix the employment issue they have a chance to get out. If not then bad stuff will happen. But, still, the food is very good.

Mcdonadls's

McDonald's

Name: Benjamin cooper
Grade: 8
Teacher Name: Mrs.gouett
Due Date: Monday, January, 16, 2017

Mcdonald's is really popular fast food restaurant but the food is really disgusting. Are you aware of how many stomach-churning ingredients there are? What about some of the food that has tons of calories and fat in it?

There is a lot of salt on the Mcdonald's foods and dressings. The ranch dressing Camphas 320 mg of sodium just by itself with tonnes of preservatives. The ketchup, of course, has salt in it but sweet and sour sauce has more, coming in at 150mg of sodium. In just those 30 ml cups too. Thinking about getting a cheeseburger with fries? think again as it has 720 mg of sodium. If you are interested, you can see the sodium content by clicking the link on the bottom of the page. As of January they have to show the calorie content on the menus. I think that they should should show the sodium content too so than you don't have to visit a site to see. Well that was repellent to research, but some facts just make me not want to go to McDonalds again. If you want to see those facts visit their website.

We know that sodium is rampant in Mcdonalds but now let's look at some of the facts that are just foul. When left in a jar, for two years, Mcdonald's fries did not look like they had changed. They looked the exact same! The reason for that is the sodium content is so high it won't mold or decay. Most of the burgers at Mcdonald's are over 200 calories just by themselves without including fries. The salt that they put on the burgers is not even real salt it’s only half salt. The other part of the salt is sodium, aluminum and, silicone so you are consuming awful things without you knowing it. You really have to make sure you stay away from these certain chemicals. There is more than that like all the fat in the burgers.

There is some real fat on these burgers but it is really something you have to watch out for. The big mac is an iconic burger but it comes in at 520 calories 28 grams of fat which is about 42% of the daily recommended fat. The next one is not even a burger it is a bacon and egg mcmuffin with a multigrain bagel. It has 620 calories and 30 grams of fat which is 45% of the fat you need each day. Lastly the 20 piece chicken mcnugget has 830 calories and has 45 grams of fat which is 71% of the fat you need
each day. For further information on the fat content in mcdonalds it can be easily      viewed at

I have looked at all the sodium and fat facts in McDonald's foods and found that it could impact your daily lives if you eat it on a daily basis. It would make your cholesterol levels skyrocket since you have a high cholesterol you are more likely to have heart attacks and strokes. Though the nutrition information is very high in fat and sodium and people know it they still come back. They do that because the convenience of having fast food outweighs the drag of having to make food when you get home. Fast food companies know this so they tend to place themselves in towns where homes are farther away for most people. SInce it is so close at the time they just buy there with no worries. Hopefully you have learned how much fat sodium is really in Mcdonald's foods.

Metacognition Reflection Question
  1. What strategies did you use to improve your essay (besides having the teacher make suggestions and corrections)?  I used google read and write. I find that having a voice that is not yours read you something is easier to point out mistakes. I talked to my parents about it too and asked them to read it over and give me some pointers.
  2. What future steps will you take to improve as a writer? I will spell check 3 times instead of two Than I will ask people other than my parents for advice and I will make sure to check up will the teacher about how to improve my essay.

Reflection "is being teased worse than being ignored"

I think that being teased is worse than being ignored. If you are being teased at a consent rate than is absolutely awful. If you are being teased once a month it is bad but not as awful as once a day. But, being ignored is not that great either. You start to feel useless and unimportant to anyone. So if you are getting bullied first of all tell a teacher But, I fell its worse then being ignored constantly. If you are being ignored in your family than it is probably worse than being teased once a week or month.
