History question
My question is: what are the differences kids in the 1800s vs the 2000s?
Kids are the future to our world and they are very different than the kids from the 1850s, but, how different are they? Do they all just go to schools like us or did they really all sit in one classroom? The wealthy kids could hire private teachers or tutors but most kids were put into one classroom. It also, didn't matter what learning abilities or what age you were it did not matter.
Children worked harder and longer from all ages., they could be 6 or they could be 16 it did not matter. They mostly worked in dangerous factories safety was completely disregarded. If a child was slacking off of his/her job than ethir they would be physically or verbally abused. Also, children were payed as little as 50 cents a month, they were also given risky jobs. Hey did that because they were smaller they would crawl into small places.
Their clothing was mostly formal the girls would wear dresses and the boys would wear trousers and dress shirts. Their healthcare was different and most people died from something as little as pneumonia. The most deadly diseases at the time was cholerae (and infection of the small intestines.) Since children's lower intestine is not fully developed to fight diseases so they would die a lot.
